Vertical AI for high-trust industries
Healthcare, veterinary, legal, accounting — the industries where trust is the moat and AI is the unlock.

NEEDS-REVIEW: Seed thesis essay demonstrating the format. The substance below is structural placeholder — Inception leadership (or a relevant mentor) should rewrite with real conviction and examples.
The pattern we keep seeing
The strongest pitches in recent cohorts are from founders applying AI inside industries where the buyer has high stakes, slow procurement, and a default skepticism of "tech." Veterinary clinics. Specialty law practices. Independent medical groups. CPA firms.
These are not the categories that grab headlines. They are the categories where AI moves real workflows and where switching costs are low enough to win quickly once trust is established.
What good looks like
Founders who win in these spaces tend to:
- Start with a deeply specific workflow, not a general platform play
- Have prior operational experience in or adjacent to the industry
- Pair AI with concrete deliverables (a billing report, a draft document, a triage note) rather than abstract "intelligence"
- Treat the buyer's existing tools as something to integrate with, not replace
What we are funding-curious about
Wedge products inside specialty medicine. Anything that compresses the administrative half of a law or accounting practice. Veterinary operations infrastructure beyond clinical workflows. Specialty trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) where dispatch + billing remain manual.
