Aurelius Systems develops low-cost, autonomous directed-energy laser defense systems for counter-UAS, built largely from commercial off-the-shelf components. Its flagship product, Archimedes, is a robotic turret combining sensors, AI, and high-power lasers to detect, track, and neutralize drones. The San Francisco company was co-founded by Michael LaFramboise (degrees in mechanical engineering, robotics, and optoelectronics; prior R&D and technical sales at Coherent).
